When I relocated the battery to the tail of my CBR600F2 I used some heavy gauge wire that comes with crimped terminal connectors at each end. They worked great. I remember they came in 36" and 48" lengths, but probably others too. I got them at Advance Auto.

After not doing much for quite a few months, I recently started back up on this project and got some parts ordered. Already here are a new set of rings, clips, gaskets, cam chain master-link, and spark plugs. I have a set of wrist pins on the way, and hopefully will have the motor back...

have you checked bikebandit.com?? they have a lot of older OEM parts. I have had good luck going to them for older Honda stuff. They have exploded view diagrams and part numbers so you can figure out exactly what you need. Otherwise I would check ebay.

on the wiring diagram it is just a switch. but there may be something to the resistor idea. I have had the bike running, but now I have no spark after putting a toggle switch in line with the power and ignition wires. thanks guys. that is a good idea about finding a 3-position switch from an older bike. I'll check on e-bay. The type I was thinking of using has 2-wires and was not specific for a bike. maybe it isn't such a bad idea to keep the parking light function. and regarding the electrical connections...

wiring harness is installed, battery re-located to tail, grips and control cables installed, electrical components temp mounted. I mocked up the tail light to start working on design for a seat/tail unit. Also started on the "lightening" holes on the rearsets.
