Well shes back in one piece so a big part of it is over. I have a good bit of paint to touch up from putting the motor back in. With that said I'm very happy with haw shes coming along.
Got it all apart and started painting the frame.
Primer
Decided it would be a heck of alot easier to have it in the air so grabbed some wire.
Put her back together so she rolls again.
The seat hasn't been stapled back together yet, so don't hold that against me.
Tomorrow the motor goes back...
Ya its welded and after a year I have a rolling frame again.
Now I have the motor apart, I think some grindings may have gotten in the motor so might as well tear it down.
Well a long time has gone by and its still not done. But I have alot of free time on my hands now so the bike is keeping me busy.
I threw out the plan for the mono shock, I'l come back to that one day on a different bike.
I decided for ease of build to make it a hard tail, this forum helped alot...
I have a 81 kz 440 it dosnt have a kick start i was wondering how i would go about installing one.
iv done a little research but dont know how to turn the motor properly.
I know some of the kz 400 had one but not the 440.

Things are slow going cause im waiting on my buddy to get more argon for his welder.
I took off the swing arm and im getting ready to cut the opening for the shock to go in.
Finaly got a chance to do come cutting, what i decided is im going to have the body of a bobber and the seating possion of a cafe. were hoping to start on the rear sets soon
motors is good
i need some new jets for the carbs, im probly going to hand it off to a buddy to tune and get as much power from it as i can.
from what iv heard as is my max crusing speed is about 80, i just want it strong but reasise its only a 440
