What does everyone do for their "real" job?

I am a boiler maker, which is basically steel fabrication and welding. I get to work on some cool shite though.

Can your bike actually do the Ton?

Yeh, My Aprilia will do the ton. In about 4.5 seconds!......... ;) Oh, you refer to cafe racers. I can't wait until I see what my CB350 will do. I am thinking just over the ton. And to tell the truth, That is more than you need to have fun. The fastest I have been on a bike was 260...

    cb350 twin upgrades for performance

I am led to believe that a longer inlet tract will increase performance, so Wee Todd's proposal to fabricate your own has merit. Use tubing of the correct dia. and weld a flange at one end to mate with the head. Then use hose (radiator perhaps) to mount the carbs. I plan to do this and...

    Cello Fury

Man, that's hardcore. I love the Cello. I have bought heaps of music, both classic and contemporary in the hope that the cello sections will bring that tear to my eye. I build tube amps and am always pursuing faithful music reproduction.

    Help please identifying these cams.

How does the top cam give better performance? It appears to have lower lift. The top of lobe to axis and top of lobe to base of lobe measure less than those on the bottom cam. It is also considerably heavier.

    My Jag XJ6

I presume you are talking about a turbo. Not really in keeping with my idea of a Jag. I have contemplated an LS1 but I am liking the idea of the Toyota 4L V8. Where does one acquire such a beast and how much would one expect to pay?

    Help please identifying these cams.

Both motors have the prefix, CB350********** so I presumed they are both CBs.

    cb350 twin upgrades for performance

Getting a throttle cable with the Mikunis on Evilbay was what attracted me to them. But the savings with Bikebandit.com is considerable. Finding a cable and good pods at reasonable cost will clinch the deal. ;) BTW. rizzlo34, thanks for the heads up on the discount. :)

    My Jag XJ6

Well, the 5 speed in my jag is a Toyota Supra box, so I guess it is doable. My old man used to own a Soarer (Jap import) with the 4litre V8. Is that the donk you refer to?

    Help please identifying these cams.

I have purchased 2 1972 CB350s in bits and I have noticed that the cam shafts are different. The one on top in the pic looks to me to be standard and has smaller lobes. It's sprocket will not fit over the lobes of the bottom cam and appears to have been built up around the bolt holes to...
