hi, i finished my bike a while back and just now realized that my title only matches the motor. with my understanding the two vins never matched even in other bikes. my question is, if i go to the dmv to try to have my title swapped to the frame is there any chance my bike could get confiscated...
Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build
have you thought about using a 21 inch front wheel? xl250 and 350s work with little modification and use's a front drum. i believe the cb350 would still use a 35mm fork tube so you could use the whole dirtbike front end like i did.
ahhh i see, i thought it opened on deceleration. like you had said before, i guess i need to look up exactly how it functions, cuz i think that may be why my idle adjustment screws basically do nothing. seems as i should only block of the air passage to the diaphragm. then i'll be able to use my...
i was under the assumption that they only functioned on deceleration, and blocking them off would only cause it to be lean on decel, but it has had the complete opposite affects. i had a 450 with factory carbs that didn't have the ugly cut out on the side and they functioned awesomely. so at the...
hi guys got a question for you. from my understanding when you open up the exhaust and intakes on these bikes it usually leans them out? in my case i have done out with the retarded expensive air cut out valves by making a nice little gasket to block them off, and before hand it was runing a...
Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build
also i dont know if the stator is anywhere similar to mine but i had a harbor fright slide hammer kit and the threads were exactly the same. also i know the cb350/360 rear axles fit into my stator as well to use as a removal tool. worth a shot to check.
Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build
its Jake off ha. but that is my 75 cb500t has a 50-90cc bridgestone tank on it (which has been a leaking headache), the whole hardtail and dropouts are all hand made, most of the bike is actually. it was being built in my head for a few years and got...
Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build
are you using any kind of slug going from the original lower frame to the new tubes? id be worried about the tensile strength of that joint, the top tube would be pushing so butting that with the old should be fine. with my lower frame i machined two...
Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build
the wire harnesses are extremely easy to simplify with good factory components. i've done a few 450/500t's and a 350. pretty much connect the colors and theres an ignition hot and switched along with the ground. im sure you could find something via...
Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build
i think it looks damn good, are you gonna shove a batt in there aswell, or just use a cap? i know there was talk about using a kohler tractor regulator/rectifier on the 450/500t which it ends up being a 3 wire system then, and seems quite small, which...
Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build
That's a nice color, I was thinking something along that line for mine.
As for the sight guage you coul put it along the top, if your really worried about setting it down. The way I look at it tho is 9 times outta 10 most of the fuel ends up on the...
Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build
i cut mine out of plate at work and used the mill to do the axle holes, altho $140 doesnt sound too bad tho. gues it depends if their kit gets you close enough to whats in your head.
Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build
When I did mine i spent 40 bucks on the tubing and used a rigid conduit bender, idk the cost of their kit, but doing it your self might be a good idea. That way you can make it just how you want it. Just my two cents, good luck!
Re: Bucky's '74 CB360 Hardtail Bobber Build
im interested as to see how this turns out. the only thing that has kept me from the 350-360 is the frames. in my mind it'll be hard or more work than i would want to do to make it look right. not dissing you at all. curious as to if your gonna make...
