    Jared's 1982 CM450C Cafe Project

Forks are 2006 Honda CBR 600RR, and I don't recall the size of headlight clamps. I got the headlight and clamps from Speedmotoco.com

    Colorado Crew!!!!!

Posting up here to get a Colorado crew rallied again, for when we have the typical mid-winter thaw, i.e. awesome riding weather. I just finished my 5-year cafe project recently, just in time for winter :o ::) Here is my build thread though, looking forward to getting more time on it next year...

    Jared's 1982 CM450C Cafe Project

No, it's bolted to an aluminum bracket. I change the bracket setup since that day so it's not interfering with the rear wheel for the rear shock travel.

    Jared's 1982 CM450C Cafe Project

Hi everyone... looks like I have not posted here in a long time. Been too busy finishing the project, having my first little baby boy, and the wife having a ACL knee surgery... At any rate, here are the last set of progress pictures and final pictures. Got the bike done a few days prior to the...

    Jared's 1982 CM450C Cafe Project

POST-DATED TO June 7, 2018 I ended up figuring out some wiring issues... I had to scrap that dumb Ultima 'simple wiring module' and go with a standard starter relay. Makes things much more simple!! Was able to get 30amp to the starter motor pretty easily after that. Since then finished all the...

Distinguished Gentlemans Ride, Whos Riding from DTT?

Had a great time in the DGR 2018 in Denver, CO. Very cold!!! And actually the maiden voyage for my 1982 Honda CM450 Cafe Racer. Took 5 years to finish, and many arguments with the wife, but finished it a week before the ride. Here is the link to my build thread if anyone is curious on the long...

Distinguished Gentlemans Ride, Whos Riding from DTT?

Hello DTT! Just wanted to revive this thread for the 2018 Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride on Sunday, September 30! The ride is a fund-raiser for men's health and prostate cancer, and there are lots of great vendors supporting the event and lots of great prizes. I am registered for the ride in...

Electrical Supplies, Wire, relays switches etc

Best wiring I've found is the Tefzel mil-spec wiring. The insulation is super minimalist and rated up to 150 degC / 302 degF. Found on eBay for decent pricing. Anyone else on here using the Tefzel Mil-Spec wiring?

Custom Reat-Sets for my CM450 Cafe

Here are the rear sets I had plasma cut for my 1982 Honda CM450 Cafe... Lots of other things to resolve with this project besides just foot position... outboard supports on the single swing arm, relief area for the chain, subframe supports, etc. I tack-welded everything in position, then took it...

    Jared's 1982 CM450C Cafe Project

Here's some recent progress pictures on the CM450 cafe project... Took about 10-12 months to finalize the 7th or 8th revision of my gauge bracket, but turned out to be perfect. It's one of the reasons this bike has taken so long (4 years + now...), everything has to be perfect!!! I also...

    Jared's 1982 CM450C Cafe Project

Finished resolving some conflicts with the right rearset, brake master cyclinder, etc., that has been a tough part of the bike. Then did some more body work and sanding on the fiberglass seat, and threw on the carbs and air pods for the picture. Starting to look like a real motorcycle!
