I'd get it. Fix a couple things, make it run and sell it for a grand but that's just me. :) my first bike ever was a Cb 650 for $500 w no issues back in '95. So a similar price for not a basket case in 2015 is fine.
I didn't do a build thread but could I guess. I just finished 2. One actual Fireball, complete all original unrestored. Just put it together and got it running and sold it for a grand. The 450ss is getting a new piston and cylinder and it will be ready to ride to.
I just got mine running and will be ready for rockers. Maybe this will help with motivation on what can be done to a 70's kz. I like what you've done. Hope you get it wrapped up soon.
Getting really close. Will debut with her first public appearance at Rockers Reunion here in Indy in a couple weeks. She was not done or running in these pics. She runs now.
So after some huge delays, a ton of work, redoing most of the bike after some logistical errors. I finally started it up last night for the first time ever and rode it around the neighborhood. Pics to come. There is a video on my FB page but I'll upload it to youtube so I can post the link here...
That Bultaco will be my favorite but in the worst shape to start of course. Have a lot of bits for it. After a sandblast on the frame and some powder, It'll start to come around.
Jad Porter and myself are the organizers for the show portion of the Motorcycle Expo at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis Feb 20-22.
Last year the "people's choice" awards were the oldest 2 bikes in the building so this prompted the decision for the Vintage show. The idea for the...
So just for fun, I'll do a "combined" post of 5 cafe bikes all in various stages of completion from basket case to done. So they are a 1966 Benelli 450ss Fireball (Restored) w 22 miles on it. A 1966 Benelli 450ss Fireball (Survivor) w 620 miles on it, untouched in every way. Pulled from a barn...
Getting closer. Had to have a "do over" on a few things like wiring and some welds on the frame. Last asshole that messed with it was a jackoff and couldn't weld his way out of a paper bag and I want it done right. Exhaust is getting mocked up and everything else is being fitted then frame will...
I am building a couple of these also. Does the Thunderdome thing still happen? No one around me builds old Italian bikes. I'm in Indy. Looking for someone into these little beasts as well. Get some feedback. Thanks.
