Re: 78 SR500 Desert Sled Engine went back together pretty smoothly, i blasted the top end in my neighbors blasting cabinet with glass bead. threw a torq cone in the exhaust port i notice a lot less reversion then before. the wires coming from my stator were in pretty rough shape, i wrapped them...

tore it apart my rocker faces are worn out my cam has wear, cylinder is coned. Ordered new cam rockers and a slightly bigger piston. Ordered the new rocker box oiler hopefully to prevent future wear. also blasted the top end.

Re: 78 SR500 Desert Sled Bike has been smoking more and completely soaked a spark plug in oil, its time to freshen up the top end. pulled the motor out and baking soda blasted the block.

Re: 78 SR500 SoCal Brat Tracker Ground the mounts brake caliper mounts off the right side of the forks, I do not plan on ever putting dual front brakes on, it came with it but i do not care for the look. If i feel the need for stronger braking down the road I will fit a dual piston bembo on it...
