I'm with brodie! Some engine tuners even make the travel tube shorter... Not longer... Might even give some timing problem... Bad idea.

Well... I can say that it's a lot of fun to ride! And people likes the sound too. Thr use those piston kit in racing and guess what... They are pretty fast... Faster than any other stock 450.

Yeah that's what I meant. Cv carbs slide are not moved by the cable so usually they are not stuck. Since the op put them into pieces I tought he already test the carb for full working.

Heat vs cold fuel? Did you checked the plug?

Cb500t are CV carb so no slide. Of course you need to check the throttle cable and the fuel line for pinch.

If the boot would leak then the rpm would be up high

Usually it's cause by dirty jets. But! If they are not sync for sure it can cause problem. Bench sync then at least and try it again. Are you sure that fuel line is not kinked?
