I'm looking at upgrading my carbs on my CB900. I've seen some people use late 80's gsxr carbs and then obviously the Keihin CRs. GSXR carbs have been too hard to find and the CR's are just too expensive for my cheap ass. So then I saw some people use 2 Mikuni VM36's and I think that's the route...
Got an old goldwing for extremely cheap but the catch is that it doesn't come with wheels. I'm located in the NE Ohio area. Let me know what you got. Thanks.
Well it doesn't start with the same 10 digits. It starts with JYA instead and then there's a 002CA in the 17 digit vin where there's just a dash in the 9 digit vin. I'll most likely just take the vin sticker off and go to a different dmv. The number on the stem matches with the one on the engine...
So I'm looking at buying a bike from New York (I'm from Ohio). I've had a friend look up the vin that is on the vin plate and it comes back clean. But here's the issue, the title only has the 9 digits that are stamped onto the frame, not the entire VIN that's on the plate. I called my local DMV...
I've got a cb360 engine and carbs sitting in my dad's garage that he has no need for. Apparently he's had the engine for about 20 years. Looks pretty clean but I don't know how much it's worth. Also have a set of carbs that look spotless. I will get pictures up either later tonight or tomorrow...
I recently had to move to an apartment and have no room to work on my cb350 engine that I currently have completely torn apart. I'm looking for someone who I could take this to and have them reassemble it, also to grind out the head for an aftermarket can chain tensioner. Anyone have any ideas?
What's the danger in putting the rod on bridgeport with a boring bar and boring it out to 16mm? But now that I've noticed the 360 pistons are quite a bit shorter I'm thinking about just selling them and getting 350 pistons. I'm a pretty broke college student so I was trying to save money where I...
I know someone who teaches a machining class at a pretty well known automotive school so machining cost isn't a problem. So it's either cost of wrist pins or cost of pistons. I haven't really looked at which would be cheaper but I can't imagine wrist pins being more expensive than pistons.
I've been trying to find some good specs for both motors but haven't really been able to find anything comprehensive enough. If anyone could point me in the right direction that'd be great
