Yes but that's exactly what I don't want... I want a semi-gloss, not satin and not matte.. Are you serious? How exactly do i do this.

I find the clearcoat finish for urethane 2 part is very very glossy, great for cars not so much for older bikes. I was more after a low gloss or semi-gloss finish, something like a classic enamel black finish with a deep lustre, trouble is I keep coming up with satin when I search for this...

Having seen your photos I swear I can remember seeing those rubbers, but can't for the life of me seem to find them, and I'm looking everywhere. If I can't find them will drop you a pm.

This is what they are like. Can you see the rubber grommets stick quite far out and there is a lot of movement of the clocks themselves I'd say up to 5mm. It's the inner collars that give them the distance.

Yea the rubbers are in.. don't have camera on me, I suppose they are ok. Just a little more "floating" than I'd expect. They are not meant to be totally solid right?

I bought some CB450 clocks to replace the huge CB500t clocks. Anyway after having them repainted, when I fit them back on I can only say they are very loose. I know they are meant to float, but I can only describe this as they hang or sag... Anyone experienced this and have an idea for an easy...

Well I took it to a pro shop so I don't see how they did a bad job. I know people try and get the spark plug depth equal in cars when certain spark plugs have been time serted, just wondering if its the same here.

Oops ok, the top photo is the stock depth of the spark plug. The bottom photo the spark plug is higher up and deeper into the head (rather than deeper into the cylinder) this is due to the special time sert that needed to be put in due to the very damaged hole. My concern is about the bottom...
