3.5 idle screw turns out (DOHC cb750)

Hey all, first I’d like to say thanks for all of the info you all have posted on this site. I’ve been able to search the site and get great advice since the start of my cb750 build. 1981 cb750c, 4into1 exhaust pipes, gpmoto shorty exhaust, pods... Do I need a bigger idle jet if I’m at 3.5...

    New Reg/Rec questions

Hi everyone, 1981 Cb750c completely custom build with an m-unit blue, etc... Bike runs great except the fact that the reg/rec isn't wired in properly. I understand that red/white wire is positive and the green wire is negative but what should the black wire connect to? I connected the black...

Dang, I feel so dumb. I removed the entire cover when the little cover was the only thing that I needed to do :/ Thanks for your help!

1981 CB750 Timing Chain Tick Marks

Putting my bike back together, when trying to time this timing chain on my 1981 CB750, what do these tick marks need to be aligned with? On every other year it is pretty straight forward but I haven't been able to find any resources on this particular engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    1981 cb750 carburetor leaking gas

Thank you for the clarification. I found that someone mixed up the 68 and 102 jet when they last cleaned it up. So that's what threw me off. Can someone tell me the name and function of the valve that is connected to a tube that leaks gas (in the video)? For some reason it keeps leaking...

    1981 cb750 carburetor leaking gas

I just updated the post. It is indeed a VB42A. What confuses me most is that coyote13 recommended that I change all of the jets to 102, but in the link you provided me http://www.hondachopper.com/garage/carb_specs/carb_specs.html, says "68/102" for the main jet. Could that one 68 jet actually be...

    1981 cb750 carburetor leaking gas

My bike wouldn't rev past 5,000 rpms, so I decided to do a cleaning on the carbs. I noticed a few things while putting them back together. 1981 CB750C Motorcycle VB42A Carbs 1. While all of the jets are supposed to be 102, one is marked 68 (the hole is a different size too) and I have no idea...

    cb750 handlebars problem

Wow, thank you everyone. I didn't realize I would get so many replies. After looking over it, I think the safest route (for my first project) is to keep the original top yoke and go for the ace bars for the riding style. I don't really want to mess with wires this soon in the game. Again...

    cb750 handlebars problem

First but not last post here. I just bought a 1981 CB750 and want to do a little work to it to make it a cafe racer. The first issue I have run into is with the handlebars. I want clip-ons, however it is set up for bars. AND to make things worse, the fuse box is in the top triple tree and I just...
