No I'm not getting spark to the plugs, and I have new coils and boots and plugs with correct spec gapping. How does power get to the coils? I will be looking into the points, but the points cover screws are in good and I'm not trying to strip them, I think I need to pick up an impact screw...

Question- Assuming everything is wired correctly and I have battery, when I turn the ignition key regardless if the engine is running I should at least get a neutral light on correct? Also when you turn key on this bike does the headlight turn on, or is that only if the engine is running...

Installed new spark plug boots, the coils are brand new, battery is brand new. Tested the solenoid and it's good. Wired everything according to diagram except brake light and signal, I'm waiting on those. And still, nothing... When I press the electric start button I don't hear a sound. Even...

Stupid question, should I have have the exhaust connected to the engine before trying to start it? This is my drawn diagram of what I tried to get the engine started today with no luck. I am waiting on an order that should be here Monday. -new NGK spark plugs -new NGK spark plug boots...

Stupid mistake :( :o I have the manual and followed the wiring diagram... Regardless when everything was wired, nothing lit up on the cluster or lights... Is it recommended I get a new reg/rec ? Also I need to pick up new spark plugs.

These are the carbs when I opened them, not too bad looking but I cleaned them. Also cleaned the engine as best as I could. I'm going to look into buying a media blast. So I guess next step is put the engine back in and try to get everything running? Also what are these?

You guess it! Clearance fail :( learning as I go. Still need to actually rebuild the forks, but I'm tired of letting that hold me up. Going to order different headlight ears, these stick out way too much, and look for boots. I'm going to learn how to rebuild these carbs. And what should I do...

So after waiting a week, seals came Confirmed -31x41 Fits but I think I had 31x41x9 and kinda ruined them trying to drive them down! What a disaster, i think the 9mm is too high because I couldn't get it down enough to get the circlip seated enough... So what website is best for ordering...

Thank you so much for all the help! 31MM ID X 43MM OD X 10.3MM H FORK SEAL SET -were the ones I've ordered but they did not fit. They are significantly larger than the oem fork seals I took off to replace. I don't have calipers but I'm assuming the "43" is the part that's too large
