if you look at the fender, right in the middle there is a seam where the forward and aft chrome outer fenders are welded to the under support. i drilled the spot welds on the rear portion and removed it from the support. then i just shortened the rear portion so it looked right and welded it...

the reason i drilled the hole is because i wanted to use the mount hole as a pedal stop, so i did both sides so they would match. no other reason. yes i am using the stock brake actuation. check my thread about halfway down the page, "how to do rearsets twice"

i swapped the 90 degree things for heims, worked much better and is very tight to the frame.
