husbands project- trying to help him for his birthday

First, get him a quality bicycle from a reputable bike shop. I did the same thing with a cruiser from Walmart and I broke frame welds after a few months. You can also check out gasbike.net as well for parts. There are several sites that cater to autocycles that include frames specific for this...

    ebay over pay scam?

I had a similiar issue when I purchased some rear lower control arms for my Jeep TJ. Back then, I had mailed out a money order and when I didn't receive my item or even a tracking number stating that the item had been shipped, I contacted the money order company to discover that the money order...

    help me win a bet

Length of Lever and the location of the fulcrum on the lever makes a difference. In the case of a kick start lever, fulcrum doesn't change. Extending the lever will provide less effort to do the same amount of work. Tell your friend it's all basic physics we learned as freshmen in high school.

    Engine Oil in the carbs

The bike has 35K miles, 17K of which were on the bike when I bought it two years ago. I have done the oil changes and sta bile for the winter time, even though for the most part I operated in winter on clear roads. No blue smoke. LOL Hence why I posted on here before assuming.

    Engine Oil in the carbs

Yes, there is oil in the airbox. I also noticed oil on the air filter as well. The engine currently will idle but choke out under throttle as well. Little history, the bike sat for about 6 weeks with less than a gallon in the tank (Not my doing, but someone who I thought was a brother) and it...

    Engine Oil in the carbs

Hey guys, been a part of DTT for awhile now. And now I have a dilemma. I have a 2004 Yamaha V Star 1100 Classic and twice now when the fuel ran low of a gallon or so, the engine would stall under throttle. Idle no problem for the most part. So, today I took the bike down to run some seafoam...

    Where to buy multicolored wire?

Go to a car junkyard. That's where I went to get my wire. Car wire harnesses are cheap and you get multiple colors to work with. I had to do this to a 81 KZ650 in which I had a hard time finding an original harness.
