More done today. Ran a tap through the damaged thread down the centre of the YZ400 head stem. The clown that owned it before me had cross threaded this, as well as putting a hammer through the clutch cover. I have a spare clutch cover, so all good. I have no idea if this is in the right spot...

Made a mount for the right side foot peg to drop it down. I saw it on someone elses dirt tracker and it looked and felt cool. The bit down near the pen is the orginal centre that slides onto the spline. I cut this off the original peg mount and welded the two tabs to it. Cut the thread off...

I threw it back together today so I can get the fit of the sidepanels and footpeg mounts sorted plus a bunch of other niggly bits. And because I really wanted to see what it looked like! Once I have that all sorted, cut off tabs I don't need, make tabs for CDI etc etc etc I will strip it again...
