I was going for as low a profile as possible. The bars have around an inch I could raise them, and the light could come up a fair bit, but I think they would look out of place with the rest of the lines. Plus, Louie is right, I think it looks killer that way.

Just wanted to check in with a few pictures. Painted the tank and seat with primer and threw it back on to see how it would look. When its done it will be black with the flat sides of the tank inset with an off white. Inside the white panels will be something, not sure what yet. Badges, numbers...

I found out that the blue wire is a neutral indicator switch. What I'm mostly concerned with now is if the brown from the regulator ties in on same side of the on/off switch as the power going out to the coils. Here is a pic of the exhaust wrap as I bought it (red), after dying (maroon-ish), and the small patch that I dyed and rinsed thouroughly. It turned out a little darker than I wanted, but close enough for now. Maybe after a little heat and sun it will fade out just right, we'll see.

I will end up painting this as well if the color doesn't stay. Pics to come.

Aetsh, Was that a factory dye job on yours or did you dye it yourself?

That's yet to be seen. I'll post some pics as soon as its dry and I can handle it. Tomorrow evening probably.
