Now to give the old gal a face-lift Gameplan was to remove the ugly mickey-mouse signal & headlight brackets, remove the stock tach, speedo and indicator cluster, and rewire all new electronics. First up I dropped the forks to take these old guys out: And slid these new solid aluminum ones...

Back at it again! Been busting it the past couple weeks, I kinda forgot about the thread, so I'll update on what's been going on. a few weeks ago a took the weekend to finish up my the rear electronics (added a BackOff unit for my tail-light) and fandangled a way to mount the seat. My main...

Yep, that's what I thought. Nothing's ever easy! Not a major issue all-in-all, and I can for sure chop/re-cover it... But I think that will be saved for a later date. I'll try to fabricate something else in the meantime! Looking forward to chopping and setting up all my new lights in the...

And to mention, as you can see I got my low profile bullet turn signals mounted on the rear (tail light will come soon, along with the bobbing of that rear fender) My next steps: Just got a new set of headlight mounting brackets I plan on making work (will take some electrical fandangling due...

Christmas came 2 days early! Seat came in today! I'm pretty pleased with the quality and shape. Looks almost exactly like my photoshop mockup I made a month ago... save for a little long in the back. Basically, this is a low profile cb750K seat designed to fit with the K mounting hardware...

Problem with Headlight and New Turn Signal Relay, Chain Reaction? CB750F

Thanks Grazz Do you mean check the difference in voltage before and after the switch? Not sure I understand... As in, a delta of .1V is acceptable? Also, if I remove a fuse, what would the voltage jumping up signify? Not sure I understand that portion of the system enough. It's nice when you...

Problem with Headlight and New Turn Signal Relay, Chain Reaction? CB750F

Well... I'm a very happy person today; got the signals working! Main culprit was the faulty buzzer likely causing a short... I snipped him off after cleaning out the turn signal switch, and signals/relay work! This makes 100% sense in retrospect. In my original symptoms I mentioned I could...

Problem with Headlight and New Turn Signal Relay, Chain Reaction? CB750F

Hmm... maybe I should have done those on youtube. Yes, the turn signal circuit is fully connected. Yea, that was something I mentioned in an earlier post. I never knew there was a buzzer till I dug into electrical this month. The thing's never actually worked since I've known this bike...

Problem with Headlight and New Turn Signal Relay, Chain Reaction? CB750F

Definitely before the switch... What would you guys suggest as a next step? The battery isn't super old but of course anything is possible -- It's obviously taking a charge for the moment. Can I test the health of the battery, or is that solution to just cop a new one? If I should wait on...

Problem with Headlight and New Turn Signal Relay, Chain Reaction? CB750F

Curious if anyone is able to determine if what i'm seeing is normal or not. I don't want to bug too much, but I'm not really sure what I should be looking for as my probable cause :/ Any Help GREATLY appreciated!

Problem with Headlight and New Turn Signal Relay, Chain Reaction? CB750F

Charged up the battery up to 12.3V today Checked my wire leading to the relay, still low at about 10.5V. So, the next thing in line leading up to the relay is the Main Ignition Switch. When I removed the switch to test the red wire leading into the switch I clocked 12.2V which looked good...

Problem with Headlight and New Turn Signal Relay, Chain Reaction? CB750F

Ok sure. Hasn't been ran or on a trickle for a while... I'll get some charge on it. Thanks a ton for your replies!

Problem with Headlight and New Turn Signal Relay, Chain Reaction? CB750F

So, I at least know what my problem with my relay is.. Not enough voltage. After studying my wiring diagram for way too long and learning about electrical a little bit I figured out my multimeter enough to find that I'm getting too low of voltage to my relay. Battery is running at 11.55V, to my...

Problem with Headlight and New Turn Signal Relay, Chain Reaction? CB750F

Hey Sonreir, So.. I'm pretty convinced that I have an issue with voltage for the relay... connecting it directly from battery to a ground it works fine and blinks at a great rate... but somewhere in my harness/wiring I think I have a bad ground or something impeding the voltage. Let me check...
