I've got the same bike from the same year, also in progress, also my first build. Deciding what to do about the seat has been the hardest decision of all so far. Modify the frame? Chop it off completely and replace it with a DCC bar? Go cafe and hide the battery or mount the electronics inside...

Thanks, gents. Got a photo of the CM400T tank? In general, though, how do you determine which tanks will fit a bike? I keep daydreaming that there's some master spreadsheet out there somewhere and I just haven't yet been let in on the secret.

How do you cats find tanks compatible with various bikes? I've got an '80 CB400T Hawk and I'm dying to find a different tank for it – more rounded and 2" shorter so it fits without the stock extender bracket – but even with every measurement taken, it's a nightmare trying to find a tank at a...
