There's always the custom route. Not sure if it'll pass safety, but who cares? It's bright! Looks a little different since I wired it and epoxyed them in, but you get the basic idea.

We got a fair chunk out in KW over the weekend. Closer to Listowel way is actually worse. Came from O'ville last night. Stupid cagers that don't know how to drive were sliding off the road everywhere. Same thing every year. It's like people forget that snow is slippery. ::)

Re: added to the stable TX500 Nice! Can't remember if I threw them out or not, but I had two complete sets of gauges from my two XS400's. Likely the same or close to the 500's. I'll check my parts box sometime. I may have kept them. As for the trailer, that thing is some gawdawful ugly...

Just pick a spark plug wire and wrap the yellow wire they provide around it about 3-7 times. It picks up the induced current from when the plug fires. It's actually easier to set up than the speedo. Speedo needs to be programmed for the size of the wheel. Why do you say that a...

I think the XS/TX500 has the same wheels as the 650. I have a 400 and a 650, neither of them are the same, and will not interchange without some modding/fabbing. You can look for wire wheels from an XS250/350/400. All of them are hard to come by. Some from an SR250/400 may work as well...

So, how much to paint a GS1000S? I have lotsa friends in the body shop buisiness willing to do it, but the last one took 6 months for it to finally get done. If price is pretty decent, I'll just bring to you. I'll prep it all as much as I can. I'm in the KW area.
