i rebuilt the motor a couple years ago. its a 853 now. the best bike ducati never built. tons of torque, R cams, light weight rods and had the crank balanced. lots of fun. its time for a valve adjustment and belts and while im doing that its going to get some adjustable cam pulleys.
the seat hoop is not welded across the tube. i used a gusset on each side to support the front of the hoop. as for the rear supports they are 1" tube, same size as the original.
you mean put the clip ons below the top triple? thats how i have them now.

ok back end is tacked together.. new top triple and clip ons are installed. fab'ed up a seat pan and a tank mount today. tomorrow we tackle the rear suspension and the rear sets and maybe the seat mount if i can figure out how i wanna do it! :o :o
im a union electrician working for a contractor at the big university hospital in portland. every day is different. right now we are working on a new pneumatic tube system that covers the entire campus.
i ordered a set of billet clip ons from DCC and they look to be of good quality. i havent mounted them as the bike is still in many little pieces.... but the fit and finish looks good.
anyone know who is making them for DCC?
i was out in the garage tonight trying to get an idea for where the tank/seat is going to end up at.
im wondering if i should drop the front of the tank an inch or two??? that would lower my stand over height. right now its about 31-32 inches. that seems a little tall to me...???... thats...
