What I really want to know is, does a restrictive exhaust cause this? Is a 1/2" custom baffle for a cb350 too restrictive?
I want to use the same exhausts if possible. But if it is too small, then I'll redo the exhausts altogether.
A few days ago I blew the piston on a cb350 and I want to get a better understanding of what could have caused it. Dropping about $500 into getting it fixed, and want to prevent it from happening again of course.

Solid green wires on our cb350's are for ground. Might have been for your horn, or something that was taken out. I wouldn't worry about it.
Black - positive
black/wite - ignition
Green - ground

Are you running rear sets or stock foot pegs?
I may have a set of headers for you. Also the stock mufflers if you want those.
Do they have TM30 flatslides? My understanding is that it goes TM28 then TM32 for the flatslides.
On a related note, I am running both the TM28 flatslides and the VM30 roundslides on two CB350's right now.

You want the VM30's for sure. They're actually a tad large on our 350's, but it'll match up ok with your big bore. You'll loose power with VM32's.
