Re: The Who Knew Project CL350K2 (New Pictures)
Some more pictures. Got the cases back from chemical strip, the aluminum looks great, no damage or cleaning glassbead or sand from the surface and threaded holes! Time to start machine work and prep cases for paint.
Got the frame and swingarm back from Endless Powder Coating. The color is Anthracite and the clear coat makes it look wet, they did a really nice job. Getting excited, it's coming together!
Hello everyone, just found this site a few days ago. I'm in Corona and have posted our latest project. If you want to follow the build the link is http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=23744.0
Have a great day!
We have been busy working on the frame. Cut off all mounting points battery box BS etc... Boxed in the down tube section, added bracing, a couple of gussets and welded the seams. Our In-House fabricator Dave Boultwwod or as we call him "The Wood" did a badass job on the frame, it looks great...
Took the frame over to Endless Powder Coating in Corona CA and had the frame sandblasted.
Got the frame back!
Will start with welding the seams, boxing in the frame, adding gussets and bracing.
Started cleaning up the engine parts.
Fast forward to March 2011. ;D
She’s going to be a Café racer in her new life.
Starting the teardown and rebuild process. Working on it in-between customer bikes and on the weekend will take some time. Pictures of where I’m at so far…
