Easy welcome to the site. You have a good start on the bike already. Do you have any thoughts in your head as to where you wanna go with the build. Looks like detabbing is the next step. Keep us informed and welcome to DTT.
Can anyone tell me if there is a good/proper way to lower the front forks on a a set of Canadian RZ forks. I put a set on my rd to be able to do the dual disc, triumph brake upgrade, but it give my bike a " a nose" up attitude of 1.5". I don't want the fork tubes sticking out the top of my TT so...
Pj you may be right. If I can get my lazy ass out into my shop I will pull the cover and let you know. It pisses me off if I did crack it or overlook it.
Pete if I had a little Icon with a guy bowing down I would place it here!! I am a believer and have a buddy with the same issues. I am your new salesman. ;D
Tim I checked it out today again ,it looks like somebody may have put epoxy in it. Do you know was there ever a temp sensor or anything on any xs side cover from the factory. Now I'm baffled cuz I had the side cover off and apart to clean/paint etc. I did not see any damage or epoxy on the...

I have a 83 xs 650 cafe that I am finishing up a complete custom wiring harness on. I have not seen this current motor run, but the original speedo showed 9600 miles. I am experiencing no spark after what i feel is a properly wired motor. I have compared to tons of diagrams online and it appears...
Thanks Mike, we shall see how things go. I may be putting a true mono shock swing arm on. If nothing else I sure have a PURTY parts go gettin scooter.....I may have to put a basket on the front end!
Any suggestions on a good quality RD guru that is affordable for bores/fitment, porting and head work for an RD 350 motor. There are a few out there, but i want to check into all of my options. Also, i have heard a few different opinions on expansion chambers for the 350 RD ....any thoughts...
