got it to idle at 1300-1400 rpm and not hang when i blip the throttle but after a while it still wants to die......the screws are seated. Does this mean increase slow jet size?

Yea it combines it....on a 78 Cb550 this is all you need.....so coming from a 74 think of it as an upgrade....way better than the shit ones you get if you order OEM, they're like hard plastic and very easy to break when pressing in.
