I know this is the 3452878 post on battery charging issues. I have taken electronic classes and work with electronics but still consider it total magic so bear with me.
My bikes electrical/wiring was custom done when I was out of my home state doing training for my job for almost a year. When I...
got it to idle at 1300-1400 rpm and not hang when i blip the throttle but after a while it still wants to die......the screws are seated.
Does this mean increase slow jet size?
Main Jet is a 115
Idle Jet 38
Jet Needle 4th clip
(i didnt rebuild these carbs but guessing those jets are a weird combination if stock is a 100 and 38)
I put the air/fuel screws at about a 3/4 turn out and it helped....no more popping unless I full throttle and let off in higher gear...
I have a 1978 CB 550 that I bought in 2010. I've never had the time to fully commit to the build until now but the building is already done. It's been at 3 shops in 6 years getting everything worked on. Engine was basically rebuilt, honed/bored, new gaskets in Oct 2012 it set until 2014 with no...
Hello.
I have a 78' CB550k. I bought aftermarket shocks from DCC (http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-bobber-brat-chopper-custom-motorcycle-suspension-eye-to-clevis-365mm-14-5-inch-black-shock-absorbers-damper-32-0211.html)
When I put them on there is a gap between the eye and the...
Yea it combines it....on a 78 Cb550 this is all you need.....so coming from a 74 think of it as an upgrade....way better than the shit ones you get if you order OEM, they're like hard plastic and very easy to break when pressing in.
Nothin much....everything's stock...only wanting to run headlight and these two guys (http://www.harrisonspecialties.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=HS&Product_Code=Black_MB_Red&Category_Code=MiniB)
Which means I need this...
Not trying to bolt anything back in, I would just use the old stuff if that were the case lol, trying to stuff everything in the battery box being made.
Trying to look for those threads/search for them is quite time consuming and if you put electrical, wiring, anything like that in the search...
Except Im pretty sure there is, I have a buddy that builds choppers he said he had something that could eliminate the old harness but I forget what is was and I have yet to call him again.
I've been searching the site, to bad there aren't a TON of threads on this exact topic however through...
Im trying to condense my electronics. I dont know if Im going to run a electric start or just kick it but I need to condense this harness. You would think after 30 some years there would be a much smaller version of these harnesses that do the same things...
Lets say Im gona kick it, run...
