Hi All! A quick update on the bike. After a super busy summer, which hasn't left much time for the bike, i have her about 98% complete and have been able to put about 100 miles on her. I am still working out the standard gremlins...
Another month gone by and still no tank! I guess thats what i get for a friend of a friend through a favor kind of deal. Oh well, its not like the weather here has been any good for riding anyway. In the meantime i think i have got her just about buttoned up. Wiring is done for the most...
Thanks Bruno! My buddy who was going to do my paint work is MIA, so I have a friend at work who is going to do it. Another week or two >:(

I got the frame back from powder on Monday! The past few nights I have been busy turning a pile of parts into something that resembles a bike. The easy stuff is done, now comes the hard part making it run again.

Got my tires, tubes and rim strips from Dennis Kirk on Friday. I am sure this is no great revelation, but they are AWESOME! Great prices, Great service and insanely fast shipping. Anyways here's what i got done last weekend....

I ordered fasteners for the whole engine, so that is where the $100 number came from. Just the side cover fasteners should be about $20 plus shipping??
Definetly take them apart! It wasn't that big of a deal or a pain in the ass. I used my stock rims since the had the cool DID stamp in them.
Lay everything out and take your time, the first one will take a little while, but once you get the hang of it, it's a piece o' cake. Take a bunch of...
I just want to get some for the polished covers, would be a great red accent for the engine. Any news on the list?

Looking Good!!!! The DCC tail loop is definetly the way to go. I tried to get one made locally and the guy wanted $275 just to set up the bender WTF :o Any issues with the tire sizes? I plan on doing the same on the front, but a 120/80-18 on the rear.
