Ed, you know I love the bike, but looking at these pics, can't help but think the lowers are on the wrong sides. Would put calipers, lines etc. all to the rear. much cleaner. Like the green 850-T on the previous page.

replace the down tubes seat and handle bar and you'd have a clean fairly original kettle. With the highly desirable drum front brake.

Any other Yamaha triple guys out there having trouble accessing the site? I know there were a lot of spam issues that finally got resolved, but now I'm getting a message that the domain expired- so if I understand correctly, if the originator doesn't take action, the site may be gone forever...

The later 850 Specials are more like 255-260KG (580 ish pounds), wet. Expect the 750 may actually be a touch lighter as it came with a smaller (120 vs 130) rear tire and a little less chrome. Also had easier to tune Mikuni carbs. Box stock new ran right at 13 flat quarter miles. Not bad for...

I skipped low-brow this year. No projects going and I haven't been impressed. As for mid-ohio, agree not what it used to be and the single day price is way too high. Waiting to see what the marque is this year before deciding....
