Chucked some wood between the sub frame and the wheel, to see what some height would do.. quite a difference!

Thanks for the input fellas! I know the geometry is all wrong, as I said it is just a rough mockup just to see what needs to be changed before I move further!! Definitely appreciate all input from more experienced people re geometry here, because it's not something im overly familiar with bike...

Im gonna try find a 17" wheel tomorrow, the 18 is definitely too big.. Will experiment with some other swingarms too. I'm mildy worried about how small the bike actually is!! As it sits right now, the top mount of the rear shock is 5 inches above my knee, or 13 inches below my waist!!

Good progress tonight! Knocked up a demo for the rear upper engine mount, and cut the reinforcing tube for the frame. I don't think the final mount will be much different from this to be honest, it's strong, and when painted with the rest of the frame won't even be noticed. I like how the carb...

Thanks mate! It's the 30bhp version, but I'm looking forward to seeing the final power figure after rebuild, inlet filter, rejet and exhaust... Frame is going to be gone through with a toothcomb! I've identified some weak spots already. Some of the factory welding is of quite poor quality...

Not as productive an evening as I would have liked, but productive none-the-less. Ok, so I had read that the NSR engine was pretty much a straight swap for the H100 engine.. Must have been some other engine, because it's nothing near the engines I had in front of me!!! NSR on left, H100 on...

Thanks for your suggestion Jorgen, I'll have a look at the rs125 forks, wasn't one i had thought of! another question i had, does anyone know of any twin disk spoked wheels?

To be fair he genuinely didn't think there was an issue! Got my money back, and he left the forks with me, as he said himself they are useless if bent so I may as well hold on to them for parts! Which was more than decent of him! Now, even though I am mechanically minded, my technical...

I need a front end anyway, so whether its USD or not.. would be mostly cosmetic to be honest. Not a motocross 125 engine, but an engine from an NSR125: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_NSR125 The more I think about it, the more I think Ill go with a conventional front end. See if i can...

Appreciate the suggestion mate! 7 years in motor trade, running own garage for two. Had thought of that, but when checked with a straight edge, it's quite clear to see. I just sat the top yoke on top of a black surface here and took a pic, you should be able to see it, right hand side of the...

Little update, with a few pics! Progress has been slow of late, very busy in work, and few hiccups with the bike! So got the engine out, and test fitted the USD forks. looked pretty good! Stem is almost bang on too, just need some bearings and they'll fit well. But, problem! Pic doesn't...
