I'm his brother, it's actually a GL1100, with CM400 fenders, and a CB360 headlight. As for the clubmans, they are low. I'm 6'1 and it's a stretch for me. Flat bars, with a couple inches of pullback would be better for me. For the pops, I'm probably going with the standard bars off my 599...

There are really 3 things that kill bulbs. Vibration, high voltage, and flickering. Make sure your taillight doesn't jiggle, make sure the voltage doesn't get over 16V (I think thats the max spec, check your manual), and make sure the connections are solid. If that doesn't work, switch to...

Yeah, I would never put it on my CB360, but the 'wing is large, and has similar squarish curves. It's also much smaller than the fairing that came off.
