Update:
Wow. I can't believe it's been this long since I started messing about with the bike. :P
So far, i've had some loose spokes (I just hand tightened it), 2 blown tubes front and rear. The rubber seals delaminated around the valves due to riding around in hot weather. Not very nice to...
Hi Alex,
Wish it was me but no. I'm in South Aus. You should have a smorgasbord of parts to you. The guys and shops there have a very wide knowledge of chinese bikes/small cap bikes and interchangeable parts. ;)
From what I can see, the frame was homologated. You wouldn't wanna use the whole thing to race, even in commuter, the cbr125's would leave you behind. LoL
Hey Son,
No probs. I enjoy doing this sort of thing. I'm formerly from DPTI (Transport SA) hence why I get excited by ADR's. ;D
As for the solid evidence, I doubt there would be any that would declare YAY or NAY. One can only assume that the air filter and taking off of air boxes is currently...

Same as 'recommended' tyre widths used in motorcycles and cars. ADR recommends use of standard tyre width/dimensions as per OEM but you are not required to.
Other thing to watch in that update is the position...
Hey Son,
Here you go. Attached is the updated ADR. Be aware this is for SA and not sure about the others states interpretation. It has further clarifications on what it means.
Only requirement now is as per the actual explanation:
There is no specific requirement for a minimum wheel guard...
Hey Son,
ADR has changed recently (but differs per state). You are no longer required a rear fender covering the whole wheel(half a wheel length) but they still recommend having one. As per your picture, that would be legal as you still kept the plastic panel protecting your airbox from being...
Update: Installed header wrap. Did not expect it to fray so easily but all done now. Soaked it in water for a tight fit. Also re-installed standard CDI as the blue OORacing one seemed to not really do anything special(plus the rev limiter thingy doesn't really work)..
Hi Maladept,
I used a...
Hi Tad,
Thanks for the compliment :). I have dug up those pages and some others and it will certainly be helpful especially those relating to the battery relocation. Thanks!
We have already put an additional baffle where the header pipe clamps onto the exhaust(seems you did it this way as...
