Holy cow, whoops! I posted this and somehow didn't notice there was some activity and responses. Sorry. Yeah, the part is black ABS plastic. I know, I know - I love aluminum, and steel, and we can do those, but the ABS drives the cost way down and it's functionally better than the metal...
