That's good. I couldn't tell from the picture whether that was delamination or not. I'm tracking, 15,000 miles was what I was figuring. I expect wear over time, after all if tensioners slipper is not wearing, what is, the chain? Maybe no third round then!

;D Do I still see some slight delamination on the edges of the tensioner guide? Were there any signs of the dimpling from the chain that was noted in the previous test set? What is the design service life we are striving for? Maybe one more test round and these will be golden. Can't wait to...

Ok, it's been a little while since we've gotten an update. Is there any news on the second round of testing and or new talks with the manufacturer to straighten out the issues that these guys have seen? Thanks

The boiling water might have worked had I not already stripped it out. I couldn't tell you if someone replaced this part with an older one at some point in time, very possible. I'm looking at installing an external oil cooller, filter, pump setup so I don't have to get into the case everytime I...

New to the community with a first time total rebuild. The platform that I am working with is a Junk Yard find 74 CL360 I picked up for $100 bucks. It still had a 1976 license plate with a 81 registration sticker on it. I'm assuming it has been sitting since 81 or 82 so that's 32-33 years...

I sure did remove the clip. I was surprised too, since all the threads I read made it sound like it should just pop out of the housing. It didn't and the steel bolt stripped the aluminum threads. But the re-threading and the massaging that I did as stated previously worked nicely.

I'm in for two! Payment sent this date.
