So about that time where i start buying parts for this build. Want to run an all in one gauge cluster to simplify things. Anybody have an recommendations or past experience. I am looking for one that is SUPER EASY to install. I have zero experience wiring and would like to keep this pretty easy...
So i went to throw my carbs on the bike for a fitment test and cant get them to stay secure in the boots.........any advice?? Pretty much when i go to tighten the clamps they just fall off the boots
Worked on stripping and clear coating my tank today. I want it to look bare and not perfect so I just gave it an "unfinished" look to it. And holy crap this Aircraft remover is unlivable!!!!
Got the forks removed so far this morning and will be putting those on hold for a bit till some more money comes my way. In the mean time i noticed one of the top of the forks is a bit mashed, is that gonna be a problem?? And anybody know of a good "rebuild with progressive springs" instruction...
Any advice on getting the exhaust off. I understand how to do it but I'm not sure how to physically get to the bolts with the frame down tubes being so close. Any tips guys??

Progressive springs are a really good idea. Cant beat that price either. For now im just getting moving with some simple stuff. Started to prep the rear fender for paint. Once I have a few days off next week im gonna strip the tank to bare metal.
Finally my Honda is under the same roof that i am living at. Got a little bit done tonight and stripped here a little bit of basic body components. While I was taking her apart i realized how well intact and nice she was from being from '79. I may be rethinking my overall goal for this project...
Toying around with the idea of trying to do a fully fairing look for my CB. Seems pretty hard to find a set for the specific bike and the ones I have found cost an arm and leg. So I started thinking maybe its possible to pick up a more "modern" set off ebay (probly damaged) and custom fit them...

Sorry for the lack of posting, been to busy out riding my other bike ;) the cleaner work great. I have my individual carbs assembled and will be building the bank back up later this week.
