The drop outs are stamped steel that are crimped and tack welded into the stays. High end bikes, at the time, used forged drop outs that are brazed into the stays. The SA three speed hub was a very common one at the time too. A better English bike at the time would have been a Raleigh 5 speed...

Re: Just Another CB750F Cafe Racer 1979 DOHC Man you've got a great baseline to begin from. Personally I'll pull all of the maintenance and ride it for awhile. The later CBs are some of my favorite bikes. Instead of a traditional cafe hack job, how about an early '80 AMA Superbike look?

Your clutch lever is pointing to the moon. Motion Pro can make you a clutch cable that's shorter so it routes more directly too.

Is it an o-ring chain? If so stick with good ole kerosene or one of the citrus cleaner. I'm scratching my head on what acid would bring to the table.
