Went to local bikeshop to do a dyno run, they politely pointed vacuum leaks in the intake manifold "joints" that I tried to plug with duct tape or "Jezus tape" as we call it in Finland, well Jezus does not work, or it does for 30 mins or so but then the glue gives up and it leaks, did a quick...

    XV920R - Fat and Low

Mork, where did you get the Upper Yoke? I think I need that for my R6 2011 front end so I can get the nose of my TR1 up.

Got some fresh rubber. Avon 3d X-M 70 profile rear nicely adds a few cm's to the radius hence reducing the RPMs to 4k at 100km/h (previus tire was 60 profile michelin piolot and somehow flat on top) Front is Avons 3d ultra It always amazes how much new tires improve the handling, cornering is...

    XV920R - Fat and Low

The bike looks sweet, the rims with the metallic edge really complete the package, hope it rides as good as it looks.

    Yamaha TR1 "Voyager"

Looking good, the tank is definetily going to make it look sweet. If you want power from the sluggish engine I would recommend lighter pistons and a steeper cams, both available here: https://www.bigtwins.co/ My TR-1 runs quite "differently" with BT-C05 cams and high compression pistons, even...

Got my GPS speedo installed, had to test the 0-100kmh and 1/4mile times. Very pleased to get under 13s already on the 2nd run. 0-100kmh times pretty solidly spot on 4,0s, best time so far 3,77sec. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Ok, now it makes sense. Riding on a MC sidecar with that engine has definitely been a ride!

DataDavid, Yeah my Grandma welds better than me, that's why I outsourced my welding to these guys: www.jarmax.fi they actually seem to know what they are doing. Tune-A-Fish, I did not completely understand your clipboard design, but if you refer to the "underseat plate" gap, the seat is...

Made some progress, tidied up the electrics (not done yet!) Added front fender (carbon of course because it's at least 10% faster) Made an license plate holder out of aluminium tube. Raised the front of the seat 1" to align better with the tank.

Finally stumbled on the bearing specs for a d22 D47 wheel bearing: ALL BALLS Ball Bearing, 22x47x14 Part# 20-1065A All Right store that sold it to me says it's not available but maybe someone still has it.

Installed a light mudflap to protect the shock. Because I was too lazy to figure out the blinker relay not doing anything. It's actually a mudguard for a mountain bike but might work pretty well like this also.

Yeah I know the shopping cart feeling, but it's not even close to that, it just feels planted, no need to have anymore, but I'm pretty sure if I raise the front I will loose some of the nice quick planted steering and confidence. I've ridden some MX and like to drive "on top of the front wheel"...

Thanks for the tips guys, appreciated. As this is the 1st time out for the bike and I have not adjusted anything on the suspension I will 1st get the baseline to see how much lift I would actually need, as I think I might get a half inch by fiddling with the spring preloads. I actually liked...

You probably right Tune-A-Fish about he height as the stock stand is too long, not sure what would be the best option to get the front end up a notch. I'm thinking about a couple of solutions: 1. a fatter front tire (not optimal as will increase weight and reduce handling) 2. 18" front wheel...

Couple additional pics... Try not to notice the duct taped freezing tupperware acting as the electrical hub. ...and it's low but might keep it that way as it seems to work. The same way all the working duct tape/ziptie tune-ups.

Took her out for a spin, pretty sweet 8) The torque is strong and available instantly,SUCCESS, thanks again XVracer for the jetting tips, it's almost flawless, lets see if I need to make changes as the stock airbox and filter are gone. Feels a lot like the Ducati 900ss my friend used to have...

Yep, the 47 rear sprocket in the pic is is too big, it came with the GSXF wheel. I now have one 43 tooth and one 42 tooth in the mail, 17 front and 42-43 rear should be ok, although the 43 is still too much for a 104 link 530 chain. Will need to wait for the postman to bring me my 112 link 530...
