I was there with some friends. We brought a total of 6 bikes (inc. the 1970 Manco, haha). Mine was the black KZ1000P streetfighter/cafe style bike .. first outing after getting her running. Still a long road ahead!
Well, new jets (possibly rich due to stock airbox, 40/137.5) and pilot passage plugs and she runs! Have been fooling around with the idle setting and I think I have it right.

Got tired of dealing with the pod setup. Pulled it all apart and put a stock airbox in. Had to re-do tall the wiring and battery tray I had to accommodate this.
Now I'm waiting on Z1 enterprises for my shipment of the parts to put my carbs back together. I just wanna get the damn thing...
Started cleaning the carbs again. First time I did it, I only cleaned the bowls out and blew some cleaner through and didn't really mess with anything else. Have gone through 2 for now and have set up the floats according to a Mikuni BS34 rebuild guide I found online (they were totally off...
Not much done lately, family was in town visiting and barely got any time to work on it. So, just to keep myself interested, I painted it really quick and dirty, haha
Got some lights and stuff coming in the mail
Sold the old set for real cheap on ebay ... they weren't doing me any good.
However, I've noticed that after leaving a bike sitting for a long while, my front calipers are leaking. .. ugh I guess it's rebuild kit time
hmm, can't really afford $400+ shocks right now. Have seen some stock shocks on ebay such this ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/1981-Kawasaki-KZ1000K-KZ1000-KZ-1000-rear-shocks-/291198308790?vxp=mtr&hash=item43ccc591b6 ... that I may get until I can spring for some good stuff
The controller just needs two momentary switches to signal left/right/hazard(both switches together) ... I just got sub-mini momentary switches from radioshack and integrated them into my hand control clamps. They're not really water tight, so I'll be searching for a replacement if possible...
It's growing on me... [emoji41] , lifted it up so that the shock is stock length at 13.5" and this is what it looks like ... delete the fender and it'll look badass! haha
Hmm looking at it from here, almost seems I can get away with lifting the rear back up to stock length and replace the dual exhausts with the 4-1 header and do more of a street fighter look ... have the header already
