DT400 - the big-bang build! You know I'm watching mate! I think a lot of the engine parts in the dt 400/250 were interchangeable with the YZ series of the same years.. I'd be finding out if that de-comp valve is in either the dt250 motor or the yz400 as they were a lot more common. Good luck...

That's the stuff... And I'm not sure about the BBQ idea, does it have a hood? And does it hold a temp well? I'd just use the oven.. I cured my engine cases in it, then cooked a heap of garlic and onion after to hide the smell from the misses haha As for masking, I'd just use tape man.. If not...

$100 bucks for this little projects... Motor and frame from a 1977 Dt 400, didn't take long to tear it down this morning
