vintage race CB350 - last 10% is the hardest

Re: vintage race CB350 - wheels done For sure man. A 350 will be my next build, a budget racer for sure. Just like you, I'd like to spend the money on track time. The Summit Wera round is great for the Vintage guys. They run on saterdays and drink beer for the rest of the night. I ran the 600...

    El Cheapo Loco CB 450

Popped the motor on my recently built workbench to get some regular maintenance done. After getting a hold of the PO to the PO (A thanks google for helping me creep this dude out by getting his phone number so easily) I decided not to take the head off and save some time and simplify this...

vintage race CB350 - last 10% is the hardest

Re: vintage race CB350 - wheels done Outstanding build amigo. I too plan on vintage racing a cb350 with wera. Seems they've added a Njmp date to their calendar too. Great crew those vintage dudes. My modern racing days are over as I just feel silly spending 400 on tires alone each weekend. I'll...

    Integrated Tail Light

Used this on my Duc monster hard pack once. Made well and is your standard Amurican plate size. http://www.aerostich.com/a-to-b-utilities/lights/tail-lights-and-turnsignals/stopper-led-brake-light-versa-light.html

    El Cheapo Loco CB 450

Thanks, it's decent work. But I appreciate the compliment. By no means up to par with most of the builds here. I just want something I care 80% about. I'm not going to get too bent out of shape when I come out to see her on knocked over after a car parallel parking gave her the bump. I know...

    El Cheapo Loco CB 450

Lately my life includes working on my mothers house to get it fixed up for sale next year during the day, and working on motorcycles in the evenings, and drinking beer. I've taken some time off to do said things but I have a new job starting on monday so I've got to hustle on some projects...

    El Cheapo Loco CB 450

I broke out the paint gun yesterday for the first time. I've never used anything but rattle cans previously. I don't why, because it's so much better. I was at the autoparts store looking for some matte clear rattle but could only find it in regular spray gun form. So I.... pulled the trigger...

    El Cheapo Loco CB 450

I found this old girl upstate last month. It didn't run but it had some charm so I took her home. I think it was some guys old race bike judging my the old school stickers and Ahrma stuff. Here's how I found her in a guys shed. Got it for 500 doll hairs. I've been looking for another CB ever...

    CB 450 Noob Build

Hey there. Been lurching this forum for quite a wile. Now I finally have a reason to post as I bough this old race bike. Got it for pretty cheap. I'll eventually be striping her down and building her up but for now I'm just going to get her running. It's my first build of an old bike, normally I...

pics of you riding you bike

Just read your build, nice bike. Like the stripped frame and seat. And I wear an open face on my CB as well because I look cool and it's easier to talk to girls. Seriously dude I don't give a shit how you ride but I have to break your balls a little bit for riding a moto like a BMX bike...

CB 350 Disc conversion, or upgrade suggestions.

Ah that's very straight forward and logical. thank you. Basically just get the whole surface area of the pad to contact drum under braking, diagonally grove at 1/16th depth and then set the pads. So to check I could just install, turn the front wheel and apply some brake, take out pads and...

Thanks Kop for you insight. What do you mean by hand fitting the shoe to the drum? The only drum shoes I've ever replaced were on one of my VWs and that was years ago so if you don't mind I'd like to borrow some of your experience ;). And by adapting and inlet/outlet do you mean to vent the...

Yes you are missing something. I'd suggest you practice some new techniques before something happens. Not to be rude dude, I just hate seeing people get hurt on bikes. They are dangerous enough and you should learn how to operate one correctly. Please do some youtubeing and some research.

    The Volkswagen Thread

Ha this cracks me up. Just got my first CB and can't believe how many sciroccos I saw on this thread. Similar tastes you say? I've had Black Beauty for around 8 years but she's leaving tuesday for a trip to Toronto to her new home. I may sleep in the garage with her monday night. 87...

Thanks, once you go track you never go back. Well not really but it's so much fun. The vinage race stuff has really caught my eye lately so my next CB is going to double as a cafe/vintage racer as pushing these old bikes on the track is supposed to be terrifyingly awesome.

Well I'm a freshy here and have spent my day off scouring. Thought I'd post some pics. My new 69 CB 350 I just picked up. To nice to cafe so I'm looking at another one tomorrow to start cutting up. A little hipster I know, but I'll crush skulls when needed. A TD at NJNP this past...

CB 350 Disc conversion, or upgrade suggestions.

Sooooo this is my first question on this board, please excuse my greenness if it's been beaten like a dead horse. I finally picked up a nice little original 69 CB I plan on riding this summer. She's great, all original and was owned by a lady for ten years where it basically was brought down...

    Hola from Long Beach NY

Hello Cafe world, my name is Daniel. Nice to meet you all. Well I did it. Bought myself a 69 CB 350 finally. My intention was to build a cafe that could double as a vintage racer but I believe this one is to nice in original form to hack apart. Got it from a lady that's kept it in a garage for...
