    10mm socket issue... solved?

10mm sockets should be one of those subscription plans Amazon offers.

Killer work! Did you paint the hubs or are they powder coated?

    XR100r project for fall/winter 2021

Sorry, I meant the gasket for the oil filter rotor cap, not the o-rings at the base of the pump. It's easier to install some of those gaskets than it is to get them out of the packaging without tearing them!

Thanks. The Vesrah sets for the 100 motors are pretty good but the oil pump gaskets are always too big. I've had to cut those myself.

That's an impressive turnaround time from CMS! Sounds like the grandkids will have a Thanksgiving they won't forget. David Silver is another good source for stuff like that sprocket. I use them a lot since they're nearby and don't charge a shipping fee if you pick up parts at their warehouse.

Yeah, I find it takes a while for the engine to respond and settle after making a mixture adjustment. I usually make it worse before getting it right, too. I don't know how much it matters, but what's the condition of the boot that covers the throttle cable where it enters the carb? Are the...

Yes, that looks just like one of my Winstar carbs. They came in black and yellow boxes labeled "OEMSTD." I wish I could help with the tuning. Hopefully it will be obvious to someone after watching the video.

There's no time like the present, especially when it comes to test rides. If you don't mind, please post a photo of the aftermarket carb. I'm curious.

If the new carb is one of those cheap Chinese carbs, try completely disassembling, then reassembling it. I've bought two from Wincycles and both had minor assembly/quality control issues on arrival. Once they're together right, they seem to be fine.

    XR100r project for fall/winter 2021

I recently had the same problem with Partzilla, unfortunately. All the parts in my last order showed up as "in-stock" on the website. After I submitted it they sent me an email saying multiple items were delayed. I called and asked if they'd ship the stuff they had right away. They held up the...

Let's face it, there's an unreasonable amount of fiddly stuff in there. A fella is bound to overlook something once in a while. It's not as much fun, but you might be able to just pull the bowl off and check from underneath.

I want to indoctrinate my friends and family...

I wonder if e-bikes would be the way to go. Are they allowed on forest service roads? E-bikes don't seem to carry the stigma that a lot of non-motorcyclists associate with motorbikes, which might help with the mental hurdle.
