    Rusty Looking Fuel Tank Ideas

I stripped mine down and just painted distressed stripes, you can use boshield on it, developed by Boeing to protect metal, been on it for 2 years and no rust but some on the inside, will have to fix that before I put gas in it.

    1999 Yamaha V Star 650 brat/cafe thing

Some new shots, got sick of working with the controls and wiring so I added a metal panel on the triple clamp, the on switch and start button are fun but having clutch issues, think it's shot so finally got it tuned to run good without backfire but hopefully just needs sanding.

Thanks and they are just stickers and come off, they are not perm, just my inspiration to do old time like 60's when cars were still real and hand made of steel and Aluminum instead of fiberglass.

Ok, bought some 2/4" steel box time to get back on this bike, between the sailboat, BMW and Bobber it's just been sitting, time to get back on it, mount the seat and start setting up the electrical.

    1999 Yamaha V Star 650 brat/cafe thing

Well finally progress again on the Bobber (more that brat/cafe, save cafe for the KZ550). buttoned it up, rebuilt the front caliper and painted, everything working and registered, got to ride it a couple miles, had to re-tune the carbs, too much popping, need to remove the AIS system. Decided to...

Are you sure it's the carbs and not the throttle cable? they rust up. You may be able to just clean the float bowl, the gas evaps then leaves a sludge that if not cleaned out plugs up the jets passageways etc. At least try it first and new filter from tank so you don't get rust.

    KZ650 project build

Sounds like fun, lucky my bike ran when I bought it, only rode it 5 mins then tore it apart. Had the wheels powder coated, came out great. Waiting on the header gaskets so I can fire it up. I am sorting the electrical now, building a new battery box under the seat horizontal since it's gel. have...

Oz chick with 82 Honda CBX and 08 Sporty

Great looking bikes! The brakes should do fine, just put modern pads and make sure its all up to snuff with the master and lines unless you're riding 2 up all the time. Would hate to lose the identity of the bike, it's pretty sweet.

CB360 barn find (actually pulled from a barn)

I just used an engine cleaner from an auto parts store, plug all the holes, then just a light stream from a home to wash it off, then use a plastic brush of diff sizes to scrub it in, repeat till clean then soap and water. I don't like to pressure wash unless I really need to.

    1980 KZ550 Kawasaki "Nadene" build

Back to work on the KZ, bought a seat, pretty nice quality but probably recover once the bike is done, put the carbs back on (not cleaned yet, left them as it was when running). Started re-attaching the wiring harness and bought some #18 male and female waterproof bullet connectors for a good...

FIRST BIKE EVER 1982 KZ440 LTD HELP ME!

Plus you could take off the rack, remove the vinyl from the passenger area and roll it back, then chop the seat pan behind the driver seat and tuck the vinyl under and rivet. then you have a cheap single seat till you get some more bucks.

Congrats, I am building a KZ550 right now, lucky it was barely running when I got it. order a carb bowl gaskets, drop the bowl and carb clean the f out of it, be careful not to bend the floats.
