Using an Antigravity 4 Cell battery

almost any mosfet type R/R will do the trick i believe. I used one off a newer R1 and it keeps it right at 14 on the money.

Its been a while since ive updated this thread. I ran into some issues obtaining paperwork for the bike, so i put it in the corner and bought a 98 shadow to ride for the summer. I was also living with my parents at the time while looking for my first house. Ive since found said house and gotten...

I must ask for some help from anybody still reading this: I recieved a left hand switch assembly, but there are 3 wires that have become detached from what i believe are the hazard light connections. Could somebody maybe take a picture of their switches, or tell me where they are supposed to be...

Some pretty good progress today! She moved under her own power! I also got the front calipers rebuilt, and bled well enough to at least stop the bike, I will need to bleed them a little better before riding it again. Still have some ( Alot) of electrical connections to figure out, and a carb...

Yeah the harness is from a CSR model, but from what i can tell, the basic harness is the same. They've all got the same necessary functions as far as flashers/ headlight/coils/charging. Looks like i ought to start searching for an air box then. Thanks for the help!

Well i got some small but time consuming work done today, making some more brackets! Also my progressive shocks showed up. The seat catch is now installed, so the seat has been completed apart from the re covering which will be done later. the side panel clips a bit of a simplified relay...

Wow, that's quite the device you've got there. I think it may be a little out of my fabrication abilities right now (but once i get into my own garage possibly) Here's the desired position, and obvious kicker interference. I think i will leave the kicker for now, and revisit it once the...

Another potential issue ive run into is that i got some tarozzi rear sets on ebay for a steal without thinking about the interference with the kick start, now i know i dont need a kick start, but it feels like such a wast removing the kick start when they are not that common anymore, i think it...

Slow going here, as I've recently begun house hunting. but i have managed to get most of the brackets and tabs welded back on that i need. i still need to get the side cover mounts re-created, but that shouldnt be too bad. Also still need to buy a lock set for a matching ignition, seat latch and...

the stock seat i bought has a torn cover as well, but im not sure i want to try slimming it down a bit, or just recover it and leave it the way it is. i think the latter will end up happening, and i will likely focus all my modification from this point forward to performance oriented mods like a...

So its been quite a while since ive done anything on the bike, but ive had a lot of time to think about the direction it was headed. This could infuriate some purists, or make them a little happier, but ive been looking at a lot of z1 superbike stuff, and i found myself wishing i hadnt cut the...

    1992 GSF400 Bandit Carb Issues

From what i can remember from my buddys bandit, he had some little rubber restrictors over one of the jets in each carb (i dont remember if it was idle or main) and i remember him saying this was shown in his manual. Maybe look into that restrictor? I remember him removing them and the bike ran...

Well i got some time yesterday to put the new points plate on, and while i was at it I figured it would be a good idea to pull out the advancer and give it a little grease. Upon removal i found the little dog ear that rotates in the shaft was broken off on one of them, so waiting on a...

    GSF400 Pilot Air Jet Alternative

Is than an early yzf1r? Also, i dont think you need to worry too much about the pilot jet if youre only going up a half size on the air jet. I do also know that most bikes are lean on the pilot from the factory, so you maybe still benefit from the pilot. Eaither way i think you will be alright.

I left the timing intact for the first goaround, but i had tobreadjust a few of the. And i wasnt careful enough and one of them jumped, good thing i double counted my links and turned it over by hand first. So after the second adjustment i had to re-time the engine, which is easy enough to do. I...

    GSF400 Pilot Air Jet Alternative

Congrats on the bike, those little bandits are awesome, i got the opportunity to ride one when my friend owned one. As for the jets, I dont know for sure, as I have never been into the carbs on them, but i dont see the jump from 1.45 to 1.5 being a problem at all, as long as they are sized on...

    79kz650 generic brat motorcycle thing

Well today I finally got a chance to adjust the valve clearances, got them all within .08mm and .20mm which i think is close enough to the manual tolerance of .08-.18. Got it all buttoned up, put fuel to the carbs, and she rumbled to life on third kick! I've still got to verify correct...
