Welcome! After only one mod to the bike it's already taking shape nicely. I'm also currently working on a 81' CB750C with a brat/café-ish thing going on, I'll be following this thread!
Cheers
I'm currently working on a '81 750C as well. I'm really liking what you're doing so far with this bike - I'll be following this build.
What online link did you use for the coil mod? I was also thinking about doing this while I have my bike apart. Also, where do you plan on putting your...
Motor looks great!
Any tips for spraying a motor fully together as such? Did you do anything over the gaskets? I'm thinking about doing mine when it's out of the frame as well. I don't need a full rebuild at the moment so I wasn't planning on splitting all the cases.
Cheers
Looking good! I'm also interested in the cognito moto filter for my 750C. My buddy gave me pod filters for free that he never used for a project he had but I hear so many horror stories. Be sure to update if you get the Cognito unit.
Cheers
Awesome, I'll be following this one!
Check into the CBR600 F2 and F3 rear wheels for a swap. I know the F2 wheel was the same shaft diameter as my stock 81 750C and I only need to make spacers and fab up a master cylinder mount for the rear brakes and all should be well.
I'm also in the middle of a '81 750C build. Glad to see I'm not the only one trying to "tackle" this bike. I think they have great potential despite not being the most desired model. Yours looks super clean to begin with and I'll be following your progress for sure.
Cheers
I bought a 1994 CBR600 F2 wheel. Took my stock rear off yesterday and did a test fit of the F2 wheel. Lots to work out of course but good to see the change. Any addition info from others who have swapped similar wheels is much appreciated.
Re: Just Another CB750F Cafe Racer 1979 DOHC
Wow, looks like a very clean bike to start. I'm also going through a DOHC right now, I'll be following this!
Cheers
