Well I want to relocate the battery under the seat because I'm making a café but I'm not to sure what's the best battery to use or where to go get a seat that I can do that with.
Yes and no I ended up needing to rebuild the top end because something broke and the guy I got the bike from didn't tell me so I did that and got a new cable haven't put it in yet cause the motor isn't on the bike.
Hey all I'm turning my GS850 into a café I was wondering what is the best small battery to use and as for the seat where can I find one. I could make one but I would rather not please help and keep in mind I'm on a college kid budget.
Thanks for the info but the thing is my cable can be adjusted at 3 places but either way I think that my cable is starched because I seem to have to unscrew the bolt on the lever side all the way out and it still seem that its not gabbing enough.
Not to sure what you mean with the rack and pinion pull mechanism also yes I'm sure that its in right with the washer. But with clutch cable I think it might be really bad because I have it unscrewed almost all the way on the lever side.
OK I did a new valve adjustment and changed out the clutch plate except for one that was behind the little wire and it looked good so didn't change it also I did the friction plates as well. But it still sounds off and I still cant move for some reason every time I put the bike into gear it...
Does anyone have simple wiring diagram that's colored for a 82'' gs850g or even just one at all because the one in my manual just isn't cutting it for me and I need to figure out why only my right turn sign is the only thing working.
Ok then the clutch lever is fine cause it can shift well in to the gears and just a little hard to shift up to 3rd and 4th but its ok it just needs the new clutch. Now though what I'm getting at is that I should get new shims cause its still out of spec. Also find a new way of measuring the...
HA wow thanks everyone my abilities seem not to be so small. Ok I'm getting new clutch the cable will have to wait till later cause money is getting tight, I got to make sure I save so if anything major comes up but I got a new problem. Just put in the new shims in and some are still a little...
The actuating lever is at 90 I'm willing to buy a new clutch and cable if that's the problem the thing is I also want clubman's on there too so I got to find the new length for that.
I just took them off but some of the steel pates are burnt and I checked only two friction plates so far and there up to spec. Also the clutch cover was a bitch to get off and the gasket look a little new if not new very lightly used and the all the plates were very soaked with oil because when...
Well I think my basket could be worn because it looks like that a little but the grooves feel soft and not deep. I can't really tell here are the pics let me know how I should go about it. Also would engine or transmission cleaner work to clean the friction plates and the gear plates for the...
It doesn't die when I put it into gear it still goes it's just hard taking it out, like if I put it in first it hard going in second then even harder to get to third and going back down as well.
Thanks guys I feel a new since of focus and pj you're right they were tight on that side. I got the new shims coming in but till then does any one know why my clutch is sticking I think it just needs a new one but any other ideas why it might be. So I don't replace it for nothing.
