The carb kit is on my wish list. I Want to get the bike up and running before I do the carb kit. This way I will also be able to see the difference when installing the carb kit.

Ya I thought about that. The structure ribs on the bottom side are still intact, the only thing I machined off are the mounts for the handlebars. I like the look of the triple clamp with the holes but I'm not 100% sure how much I weakened them by cutting them so I might weld them.

Do you have any cx500 Deluxe tanks in decent shape??
