    Newbie with CB550

Nice purchase. I believe eBay.co.uk will be your best bet. I ran a quick search and there were a decent number of cb550 parts for sale. Best if luck! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

Cam chain finally showed up! Apparently this is a chain for a little scooter, thus the long length. It is the right size however and includes the master link. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

    74 CB125 scrambler/tracker project

Due to time constraints and budget, I cheated and just bead blasted the rims and painted with ceramic wheel paint (satin black). Not too bad.... Decent enough for selling the bike once completed. I'm taking this as a learning process for the next build. Practice, practice, practice. Right...

    74 CB125 scrambler/tracker project

Well, the wife is going out with her girl friends tonight so I'll have some 100% dedication time to the bike this evening ;D I'm taking the frame down to my dad's shop and will try to fit it in the bead blaster. If anything, I have some engine mounts that need cleaning and perhaps I'll get the...

    74 CB125 scrambler/tracker project

Well I haven't ordered a new cam chain yet, but started looking around. Most of the ones I've seen appear to be fully closed loops (no master link) that are preset for the stock cam/crank distance. Anyone have any recommendations of where to get a chain w/link so I can size it right? I thought...

Re: "what'cha drinking tonight?" Ha-ha, so that's why it's so damn cheap! They don't hide the fact that it's made in the USA, says so right on the can. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

    74 CB125 scrambler/tracker project

Well. I need a new timing chain.... It was super loose, more so than a worn chain. I did some Googling and found that on the "newer" 2 piece heads the cam sits a little lower. That ends my day for now. I'll be ordering a new chain soon. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

1955 BSA 650, LSR Cafe Bike

Hey gang, This project has been active for a few years now, but is currently on hold this season. I did however want to get a thread started for future posts and just to share some pictures and videos of my baby. So this is the Boyle family crown jewel. My dad got the bike as a basket case...

    74 CB125 scrambler/tracker project

Sounds like good memories indeed! My first bike was a 80' YZ50. My dad had it either bored or stroked (couldn't remember all the details) to be a 70cc. Power band on there used to scare the piss out of me as a kid. Sadly I sold it a few years ago. Here is the last picture I have of it prior to a...
