Ahhh interesting, mines a 2016 model so yeah they may well have changed! On mine the threaded part was 12mm but the actual strut when the shock fits was 14mm. Yeah I went with generic shocks from Mostyn and yeah man, it has really made a big difference on the bike for sure! Great upgrade

Yeah, so just to clarify, after ordering 12mm, its actually 14mm eyes top and bottom.... huge ball ache refitting the bushings

Hey guys, Finally got my new shocks, going to whack them on the ACE this weekend. What setting did everyone torque the shock bolts up to? I couldn't find the specifics for the ace anywhere. Thanks all!

Thanks guys, I ordered one of those Tachos. Bike is coming along pretty well, carb re-jet made a big difference and the free flow filter helped too, the main thing holding it back now is the exhaust, so I need to get onto that. Hey out of interest, had anyone tried those generic blue racing...

Hey guys, How did everyone go about getting the revs right when fitting the OOracing CDI if you didn't have a tacho on your bike? I mean obviously the screw adjusts the rev limiter and I guess you want it at about 9500, but did everyone just do it by ear, or attach a tacho to get the limit...

Yeah as far as I know 330mm eye to eye is the factory specs, I was more concerned about the eye size top and bottom, as I've heard about problems with people using shocks with a bushing removed so they fit or whatever. I assumed those JBS shocks wouldn't be amazing, but you get what you pay for...

Hey guys, I've been looking at different shock options, keen to avoid the piggyback look and don't want to spend a fortune, but a question about dimensions. From what I've read people have been fitting 325mm - 335mm shocks, but whats the eye size as I haven't been able to see anyone mention...

Yep I just clipped the lead and twisted the NGK on. The stock leads seem kinda crappy too... so I probably should upgrade them if I upgrade the coil too.. All the electricals look pretty shoddy really

Well I got my new ACE and the customisations have commenced! So far I've pulled the decals off and added the blanking plate and iridium plug (which just happened to tighten up to the perfect angle with the electrode facing the intake valve, plug indexing style), next to come will be battery...
