    1994 Yamaha YZF750R - Vandal

I had a YZF750 from 1996 to 2000 (replaced it with an R1) they are a superb bike, fast and very good handling, they do use about a litre of oil every 1000 miles though. Sent from my SM-T560 using Tapatalk

my latest build. 2 stroke GT185 cafe racer.

I had a 1978 GT185 in 1984, it had hideously loud Allspeed expansion chambers, handled badly and holed pistons regularly due to the float heights changing by themselves. Sent from my SM-T560 using Tapatalk

    FZR1000 Braking inconsistently

Sounds like a warped disc, but I had this symptom with a Chinese replacement disc when pad material built up on it, cleaned the disc with brake cleaner, disc felt fine until the pad material built up again. I've never had this problem with 80s Yamahs OEM discs though. Sent from my SM-T560...

    Help - Oddball request

It looks similar to a KTM X-Bow As for marque, hopefully it's not Allard, but I'll guess at Frazer Nash Power plant - I'd go for a Ford Zetec S Sent from my SM-T560 using Tapatalk

    Carb swap

Your GS came with 34mm CV Mikunis, earlier 2 valve GS1000s had 28mm slide Mikunis. But back to the original question, the answer is yes so long As the cylinder spacing on the XS is the same as the GS, I don't know if it is. What I do know is that GS1100s have the same carb spacing as any air...

    Honda RS1000 - CB400F Mini Replica

Re: Honda RS1000 Mini Replica Tamiya make a model of the RS1000, you might find it helpful for measurements etc. CBX550 engine would give you a twin cam engine cheaply Sent from my SM-T560 using Tapatalk

    island racer

In the UK SOHC CB750s are expensive, the early 80s dohc bikes are rare, so uou're probably best off with the F2N from the 90s. But why limit yourself to CB750s, why not look at other bikes? Sent from my SM-T560 using Tapatalk

    Suzuki GT185 1978 build

Keep an eye on the float heights, for some reason they go out of adjustment, lean the mixture and hole the left piston. Sent from my SM-T560 using Tapatalk

    '80 CB750F Electrical Issues

Rewiring my 82 KZ1000 took about 1 day at a fairly leisurely pace, I really enjoyed doing it and I now know my wiring well and that everything is good quality, I also simplified the wiring a lot and got rid of things I didn't want, like the side stand cut out switch. '80 CB750F Electrical Issues

The fuse blowing is caused by a live connection after the ignition switch going straight to earth, it will be hard to find. Charging problem is most likely to be regulator rectifier. Nice bike though, if it were mine I'd be trying to find a new wiring loom for it or rewiring it myself, a 37...

I did the ton (CB 400T)

My UK one did about 120 mph indicated standard, a little bit of tuning and a set of Kim Lomas pipes and it did a genuine 135 mph, my mate with a GSXR1100K said he had trouble keeping up with it to 130. Sent from my SM-T560 using Tapatalk

Wiring Help - In over my head...

I can't come and help unless you're willing to pay the air fare from England ☺ But all older motorcycle electrics are a number of relatively simple electrical circuits, you'll have an ignition circuit, a charging circuit, a lighting circuit and an ancillaries circuit (horn, indicators etc.) The...

    Under the weather a bit.

Hope you feel okay, the wife of a colleague is head nurse of a cancer unit here in Ipswich so I may be able to help with treatment questions, though it depends on the type of cancer. Hopefully you'll make the Stafford show, I might be there depending on work. Sent from my SM-T560 using Tapatalk
