    CL350 Stuck Fork

There's your problem... Thanks for all the tips. I did end up putting the right side back on and then I managed to get the top clamp off. After that it became obvious why I couldn't get it off... So now I've got some rust to take care of!

Uber Moto Noob jumps in the deep end.....

Those tabs are for the "step bar". One side points down the other to the outside of the frame. The bar that bolts on runs across the bottom and has the original pegs on ether side. The step bar also has the tab for the side stand on my '71 CL350.

    anyone in the photography club?

Sweet. I got an old Leica screwmount, not a very desirable of the Leica family, but it was purchased new by a late family friend so there is some history. There is something amazing about those machines. It's the precision and the fine machining that does it for me. Like a fine watch...

    anyone in the photography club?

I enjoy taking pictures. I don't do it for hire though, I can't compete with the quality that's out there. It is a super fun hobby though, and since my wife enjoys it too budget negotiations for camera gear are easier! My little photo blog: http://www.oxcart.net I've got a couple...

    CL350 Stuck Fork

The fork tube is stuck in the triple clamp. I'm not sure if it's the bottom or the top, but I suspect it might be the top because I can't even get the top clamp to come off. I've even tried using a mallet and a block of wood to hammer the top clamp off from the bottom side with no luck. I've...

    CL350 Stuck Fork

I've dug around for tips on a rusted on fork, but no luck. The right side slipped out no problem, but the left is bing a pain. I've tried penetrating oil, and just about every way I can think of to get a hold of it, but it won't come loose. There is probably a good trick to getting it, but...

    No Name CL350

Thanks! The "El Poquito" was one of the first cafe racers I stumbled upon via a Google search. Sweet looking bike. I think that's the look I'm going towards. I picked up a seat on ebay with a similar look. I still haven't picked out a tank though, or decided if I'll use the one I have. The...

    New from Eastern NE

This one came from Grand Island, but you may have seen it on Craig's List. The guy also had a CL450 that I liked better, but I couldn't talk him down any on that one. This should be a good learning experience. In a perfect world it'll be a stepping stone on my way up to a sweet GL1000 build...

    No Name CL350

Just picked up this CL350. It runs well and is a joy to ride. I was split on doing a restoration or a cafe build. The crack I found below sealed the deal as a cafe for me. I figure if I'm going to tear it down to bare bones and fix that I might as well turn it into a cafe racer. There is a...

    New from Eastern NE

Just a quick introduction. I'm working on a recently acquired '71 CL350 and stumbled upon this amazing forum. I'm spending so much time reading through that my wife is yelling at me to spend more time in the garage! That's a good problem to have! About me: I grew up in Western Nebraska...
