Wondering how long it's safe to drive with this issue. Idle a little choppier than usual but otherwise running fine. Was contemplating a trip ~ 150 km each way.
Hey guys, like the title says I'm looking for someone good with vintage Japanese bikes in NYC. Need some help diagnosing some ongoing performance problems on a CB550f.
I ordered Keihin CR 29 mm carbs from Dime City a few years ago specifying that the bike was a CB550f. DCC says they fit but I think they're too big, so does Keihin, which says CB550 is supposed to get 26 mm. I've tried to downsize jets on these a few times now and I'm still struggling not to...
Spring Cleaning - $75 Grab Bag
Shocks are eye to eye, not eye to clevis so not CB550. no idea where I got them. Maybe fit a Kawi H1?
Also have fuse case from wiring harness CB550
Full set of turn signals and a variety of headlamps.
Will throw in vintage Arthur Fulmer Helmet.
Pick up in Toronto.
Black are aftermarket replacements for a 1976 CB 550F.
Blue are stock, I believe, model unknown but pretty sure it's the mid-70's CB750 (maybe 550K) because it has the raised lip for the air filter
Pick up in Toronto, ideally.
Stock seat from 1976 Honda CB550. Dark Brown.
Has modest tear in vinyl that will need to be re-stitched which you can see in photos. Not a big deal, can be done by hand and a vinyl repair kit will make it as good as new.
Someone who can pick it up in Toronto preferred.
Trying this again. See my other ads as well for vintage Honda stuff.

Hoping someone can help me with this. I'm putting a brat seat (similar to the DCC model) on my CB550 and my battery box pokes about 1cm above the frame so I can't mount the seat flush. See the attached photo
Figure I can't be the first person to have this problem, how have other guys dealt...
Hi all. So I used to have an amazing H1b project that burned down. See my build thread http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=53275.msg597589#msg597589 for all the horrific details. I decided I'd like to try to save it but need a LOT of parts. Hoping someone has a Kawi H1b parts bike...
So I've been meaning to post this build thread for a while. 1 spent just shy of two years working on this build in my condo office and just finished about 2 weeks ago.
This is how it started
Howdy all.
Looking for an under seat pan battery box replacement to hold a Lithium battery and the various electrical pieces so I can open up the area behind the carbs. Has anyone seen anything that I can just buy and use out of the box? someone must make something like this? Alternately...
I know nothing about paint so this might be a ridiculous question, but has anyone ever selectively stripped an area of paint along a clean line, leaving some of the original paint intact but exposing bare metal on the treated area?
If so, would love to hear about how it's done.
Also, proper...
I'm doing a teardown of a '72 Kawi H1 which I bought from the estate of the original owner. Once I actually get the project going I'll start a project thread, but right now I've got a cracked frame to deal with. So here's my question: Can this be fixed safely? If so I don't have any welding...
