    XT500 Cafe Racer

Made up a new axle clamp as the forks had an incorrect one. I know they're only a couple of dollars but I had some time last night I thought I would do it myself. It doesn't match perfectly but looks OK

    XT500 Cafe Racer

Made up the front wheel spacers yesterday. It was a bit tricky as the hub has 15mm bearings and the forks have 17mm bearings. Getting 17m ID with the same OD is not easy so I just made a spacer with a sleeve in it. The other side has the large piece that is clamped in place and it was undersize...

    XT500 Cafe Racer

Got my front wheel sitting in place, I think I'll cut some breathing holes for air flow and make up some little mesh filters to keep out any unwanted items. I stripped both wheels and will get started on cleaning them up ready for polishing. They are aluminium and both have the small steps on...

    XT500 Cafe Racer

Lately I've been pretty keen to build an XT500 cafe racer in the form of a TD/TR3 Yamaha. I have an old xt500 motor in the shed and remembered that I had a mate who had an XT500 frame that he wasn't using. Unfortunately that memory was around 10 years ago so on the off chance that he still had...

    CB450 Tracker

Well after a couple of years of Covid and some extremely bad weather (which is still happening) I finally put some clear on my tank and tail and got it all assembled. A mate of mine came down from Sydney on the weekend and took some photos (which I definitely can't do) and it turned out OK.

    Brodie's '72 Honda XL250 Motosport!

No problem at all, it's still just sitting there.

    DT250 Tracker

Sorry mate, no sprocket cover. All my motors came from a mate who was a wrecker, so they were all pulled off when the motor came out.

    DT250 Tracker

Sorry about the timing, I have just moved a bunch of stuff from one house to another and there was a heap of DT stuff there. I should have a sprocket cover, I'll have a look for you.

Hey Mr Bernzo, do you want an oil pump for your bike, I have a bunch of them.

    "Tangerine Dream" / Glemseck - KZ750

How about you just stop all the stripes at the dip (on a curve) and restart them on the other side, would that look better?

Looking great, good luck with the MOT.

    CB450 Tracker

Thanks Guys. I got all the wiring installed on the bike and tied the loom in place so that's all finished. I put some fuel in the carbies with a small filler bottle and it started as soon as I pushed the button, which was a good result. I also set up all the components of the speedo/tacho -...

FRANKENHONDA II the 1982 DOHC CB 750F2 Build

This is the one I made, as I only had one night to do it I made it out of sheet steel and welded it together, but it has served me well. Screw the nutsert on the end, put it into position and squeeze the handles together. You might need one of these too Phillip...

FRANKENHONDA II the 1982 DOHC CB 750F2 Build

I had a mate that was a mechanical engineer at Wollongong Uni and they had a nutsert tool there that he showed me. I was that impressed I got him to borrow it for a night and I made a copy (up very late that night) and have been using them ever since, with never a problem. The inserts are very...
