    CB750 overcharging

On old Honda bikes, the black wire IS positive when ignition is in "ON" position. The black wire from the regulator is in the system so the regulator knows how much power is drawn from the system and how much is needed. The regulator checks battery voltage and power consumption. The difference...

    xr600 head on nx650 engine

You know.. I've been away from this forum quite some time now, but i've never met a guy on here or in real life more up in own ass than yourself. I hope it's an internet alter-ego because you won't get far in life with such a crappy attitude. I've read some other topics you started or commented...

    xr600 head on nx650 engine

Thanks for your message. Thing is that the bike rode fine with this CDI before the head took a shit. I can't imagine how the CDI would die from that. Besides, this CDI is only on the bike for 500km as the old one crapped. Thing is, the chainwheel on the cam is not perfectly alligned when...

    xr600 head on nx650 engine

So.. Still struggeling here. I've buid her up again but she's doing absolutly nothing. It's driving me nuts. I figured, since i removed the decomp unit that the battery wasn't strong enough to kick her over and fire. Mounted a automotive battery straight to the starter so the on board battery...

do i have a carb problem

sounds like ignition as on 6000rpm you're already on main jet. Could be fuel delivery too. Check flow out the tank by disconnecting fuel line and opening the petcock. You need a steady flow, not dribbling gas. Put a big rag under the tank or take the tank off. You dont want gas on engine. If it...

    1980 CB650 Custom power issues

I had a similar problem on a cb650z (same engine) 120/42 jets is the right size. Mine had the same problem you describe and it turned out to be a loose coil wire in the plug. It had just one tiny string attached. Just enough to keep the paired cilinder firing and on idle, fire all 4, but when...
